The Committee of Regional Development Australia Far West met last week and regrettably postponed the conducting of the 2020 Business Awards, until 2021. The uncertainty of the restrictions going forward in regards to the Coronavirus and potential impact within the far west community, left the committee with little option, but to postpone the event.
The COVID-19 pandemic has meant that it is vital to limit social contact and avoid large gatherings. While RDA Far West know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps being taking to help keep our staff and attendees at the Gala Awards night safe.
The coronavirus has impacted nearly every industry in our community and to ask businesses to support this event in the current climate would be a huge ask, as RDA Far West is aware the business community of the far west have been heavily impacted with the coronavirus since March.
RDA Far West will keep the Business Awards alive with stories featuring those businesses that have won awards over the past few years. RDA Far West would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors and volunteers for their ongoing support.
RDA Far West anticipate that the timeline for 2021 Business Awards will be similar to 2020, and will notify the far west community of important dates early in 2021.
