In 2016 Regional Development Australia Far West (RDA FW) committed to undertake research into the workforce capacity of the Far West region. The purpose of the study was to build an evidence base around workforce issues affecting the region to inform the future planning, training and development needs to position the region to take advantage of current and emerging growth opportunities.

The report outlines the findings of the study and suggests a range of strategies that may be developed to address the concerns raised by regional employers.

Regional Development Australia Far West will consider the outcomes of the report and what strategies may be employed to ensure the region meets the future workforce demands and job seekers have the opportunity to develop their skills to become more employable.
